Why are Credit Cards Important?

Credit cards are heaven sent and I stick to that knowledge. I hear a lot of people complaining nowadays that they have gotten themselves into uncontrollable credit card debt And other card provider companies use it as a premise to offer their cards. They start trashing and blaming credit cards for their high credit limits that lure people into debt. Come on, be realistic! Credit cards are very important and the knowledge that they are heaven sent must be kept in mind. Here are my reasons why I’m not considering the idea of closing my account and reap the benefits of having a credit card.

It bought all my big ticket items.

I read financial blogs a lot and most of them suggest to live life frugally. Don’t buy drinks, make your own coffee, ditch your car and never entertain the idea of buying that sleek plasma TV you can’t afford. Call it a luxury but buying a plasma TV is my simple reward of working hard for my family. What a better way to relax than to watch my favorite shows on the best TV! I really can’t afford one; but because I have the best credit card, it easily made my dreams come true. The only trick that I did was to pay all my balances full each month and even going higher than the minimum and so it waived all interests. Saving for it would be good too but charging it on my credit card let’s me remind that I have a TV to pay. Money for TV in the bank can be easily withdrawn and buy other things but paying for a TV credit card bill tucks my money safely away.

It is my safest card in the world.

Most cards have a safety PIN feature but it doesn’t completely eliminate the risk of thieves. Modern day thieves are in the form of hackers that when they get hold of a card’s number they can wipe out the balance in no time. If so, credit cards can inflict only a small harm on my finances because I am only liable up to $50 regardless of the amount they have charged to my card. Moreover, if the fraudulent transaction was made without my card present, I am completely protected by law and have no liabilities at all to the credit card companies. Where on earth can I find a safer deal than that?
